COUNTRY IN THE HEADLINES

Read Newspaper
  Open the Worksheet1 file that you saved and look at the 
   names of the countriesGlossary you filled inGlossary.
   
   You will now fill in an ID CardGlossary for one of these countries.

   Pick the country you think is the most interesting or the one
   you want to know more about.

 1. Open the Country ID Card.
  
 2. Everywhere you see the words (Name of Country) replaceGlossary
     them with the name of the country you are making the
     ID Card for.

 3. You will now have to find:

      a) a map of the country on the ID Card.

      b) a picture of this country's nationalGlossary flagGlossary.
   
  Open these internet sites to find the map and the flag you
  need:
MAPS
FLAGS
 CIA / Factbook
 CIA / Factbook
 MapQuest/ World Atlas
 World Atlas
 List of Countries
 InfoPlease
 4. When you find the map and flag you are looking for, 
     copy them onto your clipboard.

 5. Paste  the map and flag onto the Country ID Card.

 6. Check the AssessmentGlossary file to see if you have done all
      the work
      
 7. Save the Country ID Card by closing the window and
     answering yes on the menu that appears.

 8. Save the Country ID Card to your web portfolio.
      Remember!
      Since this is an MSWord file, use the Save As function 
      in the  menu.
