Project Description

Principles

 Lesson 1 
1) Teacher brings a Map of the
    United States (hopefully in English)
    and hangs it in the board.
2) Teacher elicits background
    knowledge about the States.
Teacher 
 activates 
 and builds
 on pupils'
 background
 knowledge.
3) Teacher explains how to create a 
    game using the map. 
 Teacher
 makes sure 
 the task is 
 transparent 
 to the pupils
 in terms of 
 goals and 
 process.
4) Pupils work in groups deciding on
   the route, 5 States per route, 3 clues
   per State, and productive 
   organization  of work.
 Teacher
 includes
 opportunities
 for peer
 interaction.
5) Pupils explore the States on the 
    Internet, looking for the appropriate
     information to build the game.


 Broadens 
 pupils' 
 horisons. 
 Allows critical 
 thinking.
 Lesson 2 
6) Pupils try out other groups' games,
